Using SMS to recruit Retail Advisors on a small budget
Sofology approached us to see what ideas we could suggest to help them recruit Retail Sales Advisors at their Clifton Moor store in York. The location of this store has to compete with other leading retailers so the competition is fierce. We initially suggested attraction ideas like ethical street art advertising and spotify but it soon became apparent that the budget would not be available for this approach.
We identified SMS as a potential 'quick win' solution and we identified that we target a small audience of 442 people within a 10 mile radius of the store, that matched the profile of a Retail Sales Advisor. The total spend for this campaign was only £159!
Out of the 442 messages sent, 415 were opened, delivering a healthy 94% open rate. What's more, 31 clicked through to the Sofology careers site. This resulted in a total of 3x hires - a cost per hire of £53. Not bad for a budget of £159!
