Balfour Beatty Workplace
Building a multi-national’s recruitment expertise
Background
An integral part of the part of Balfour Beatty, the multi-national multi-billion pound engineering, construction and services group, Balfour Beatty Workplace recently decided to bring their recruitment marketing in-house. Their intention was to streamline their recruitment processes, get a better return on attraction spend and build a quality talent pipeline. Essential to this strategy was the establishment and training of a highly competent in-house recruitment team. They approached Beyond Interactive to train this team and develop their online recruitment marketing skills, especially in the areas of job board and LinkedIn management.
Solution
We trained Balfour Beatty Workplace’s new in-house recruitment team in the most efficient and effective tactics for the successful selection and use of CV databases such as totaljobs and LinkedIn. For the hard-to-fill roles, we coached the team how to create bespoke attraction campaigns. This included showing how behavioural targeting techniques can deliver stunning results when used to recruit a nationwide Service Centre General Manager via www.jobsite.co.uk.
Results
Since delivering the training, Balfour Beatty Workplace has reported a £295,000 reduction in their recruitment spend. Specifically, the Service Centre General Manager role was recruited at a £900 cost-per-hire. This represents a significant return on investment for a £65,000 a year role.
